This topic has been marked as resolved.
Periodically and without warning the shopping cart seems to stop working – when you add a product to the cart and the press the cart logo you are taken to the cart page but there is nothing there (the page URL is correct) To fix this I have to go to the Pavilion Control Panel, Content area and select System Page>checkout>Cart and just simply re-save the page then the cart seems to work again!!!!! However this is not a fix! How do I know when my cart is about to go wrong? when I have gone for a few days without orders! Please suggest a fix Anthony |

Hi, we made intensive testing on your site, but weren’t able to reproduce your issue with the vanishing cart contents. We didn’t observe similar issues with any of our support tickets, so we would need to investigate it somehow. The only way to do it to inspect your site when the issue appears. Can you please write us an email (do not forget to supply ftp credentials) while the cart is not displaying and we will try to log in to your server ASAP and analyze what going on. We will watch for your email during our working time – Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, between 10:00 AM and 18:00 PM +0200 UTC. BR, |

Thanks for the reply – I appreciate it is difficult to comment on when it is not actually happening. It has happened since and I think it occurs when I go in and out of Pavalion CP and maybe alter/save something and for whatever reason it just stops the shopping cart from showing (users can go to the Checkout though and that works). If it happens again I will notify you immediately Thank you for your concern Anthony |

Hi, I have exactly the same problem on our website. Without any action or warning the cart disappears and after saving it in the pavilion control panel it’s back again. So now I have to check every day if all is working properly. One time it also happened with the content of the product page. That is by far out a real conversion killer. It’s a live webshop so waiting a couple of days before you can login and investigate the problem is not really an option. There is no error log that would lead to this problem. I have added some screens before and after. It’s not the cart content that vanishes it is the whole cart page content row (blank page). All other content like specials in our cart stays. It happened this morning and i’ve “solved” it already by saving the page, if you think you can see afterwards what the problem could be just let me know, I’ll give you acces. Thanks! |

@VapingMann, @BargainLab – you can try to apply the attached patch – just unzip it and upload it your server’s root (the folder where opencart is installed), overwriting the existing files. BR, |

This is the result of your patch. The website crashed. How can I fix this? Placing the old one back isn’t working. Bud1utBuilLayoutBuilderPlugin.phpIlocblobF( @ @ @ @EDSDB ` @ @ @PHP Fatal error: ‘The class cannot be found: Theme_Catalog_’ |

@BargainLab @ TB Support Also, if we apply the patch, will our previous settings stay or will be overwritten – we have a lot of customizations done from the Pavilion CP and hence re-doing all of it all over again is not a feasible option. We are using pavilion with OC1.5.6.4 Regards |
