Click on product image to enlarge instead of icon

In Pavilion Control Panel under Store > Product Page > Product Settings > Image Settings, I’ve turned off “zoom” to remove the magnifying glass effect but I left Full Screen on as I want people to be able to access the large image. However, I don’t like the fact that one has to click on the special icon in the upper right of the image to enlarge it (black, with two diagonally opposing arrows). The most common impulse is to click the image itself. Is there some way this could be accomplished – hopefully without changing the core files?

I can see where the enlarge icon would be needed if using the magnifying zoom, since clicking on the image gives the magnifying effect there. However, it seems like it might be a good idea to give an option on the other as well as long as zoom is already off.

Thank you!

Thanks for your reply. It works but only the upper 30% of the image is clickable to enlarge, the lower portion cycles through the extra images. Here is a link for you to see what I mean:

Also, when you say the “bottom” element should be set to the height of your additional images, do you mean the actual enlarged height or the scaled height of the image we are clicking on to enlarge? I set it to the latter as the former didn’t seem to work. I also had to turn off zoom, which is fine. All I want is for the entire image to be linked so when you click on it you get the large version, just as it works now for the upper part of the image.

Thanks.

Hi,

We meant the height of the scaled images (74px in your case).

I’m now using OC 2.2.0.0 and Pavilion 2.02 and I would like the same fix you kindly provided before but for this new version. Could you supply updated code? Just let me know if you need additional information or access.

Thank you,
