Pavilion assistance

This topic has been marked as not resolved.

Just download pavilion and have so far found a few things that doesn’t work or that I need assistance with:

1. How to add a Add to Cart button on grid/list?
2. Can’t show categories in All category in menu
3. Can’t show all categories in a left column. Do I need to add ALL categories or should they automatically show?
4. When certain pages are loaded some of the styles are gone (example information pages)

That’s it for now.

Hi! Thanks for buying our theme!

1. Generally you should use – Store -> Product listing -> Element visibility settings to control the button visibility

I think the other three questions are related to page builder. You can find more information in the documentation – http://docs.themeburn.com/pavilion/page-layout-builder/
Watching the video may also help you.

Also, you could try to import some sample data so you could observe pre-built page configurations.

If you still need assistance, do not hesitate to write here.

Hi,

1. I have tried this, but it doesn’t work. I have both Default and Hover selected.

I have now also uninstalled the CP and installed it again with your default theme. I still have the same problems. For example if you click any information page the styling will be distorted.

Any assistance would be great!

It seems there are some hosting issues, but we can’t figure them out without access. Would you provide us with FTP credentials, so we can investigate and fix the issue ?

We are currently investigating what might it be.

Hi again,

there is nothing wrong with your server configuration actually. We were misled because you have changed the default image path in OpenCart’s config. You have also made custom modification to catalog/model/tool/image.php file. This confused the theme as it relies on default OpenCart config.

There is internal setting in tb_themes/pavilion/config/theme.php for such cases that needs to be edited. It’s called image_serve_domain. We have changed it for you and now everything displays correctly.

About the categories issue, you will need to check Admin > Catalog > Edit category > Top checkbox for each top level category, if you want it to appear under “All categories” menu type in the main navigation or the category content block.

Before digging into your issue with the missing ‘add to cart’ button, could you please share with us if you have made any other custom modifications to OpenCart ?

Hi,

OK – so that issue seems to be working fine now.

Looking forward to see what the button problem is and to dig into other features of the theme.

“About the categories issue, you will need to check Admin > Catalog > Edit category > Top checkbox for each top level category, if you want it to appear under “All categories” menu type in the main navigation or the category content block.”

So, I can’t add a block with all categories to the left or right without doing this???

Would think that a category tree in left or right column should be a given feature…

Hi,

1) It seems that the problem is caused by Theme settings > Common > Product statuses > Disable checkout status. Until we fix the issue you can create and select there a custom stock status and the button will appear.

2) About the categories issue, you will need to check Admin > Catalog > Edit category > Top checkbox for each top level category, if you want it to appear under “All categories” menu type in the main navigation or the category content block.

3) Go to Admin > Page Builder > Left Column, select the scope for the sidebar and then drag the Categories content block. Note that all top level categories need the “Top” checkbox selected, unless you choose to ignore that feature.

The ‘top’ setting is for mandatory the navigation menu only. This is default OpenCart behavior.

If you want to display the category tree in the left column and skip the ‘top’ option for every category, you can disable it by editing the ‘Categories’ block – there is Respect ‘Top’ option. We turned it off for you – check your categories.

We are still inspecting the missing ‘Add to cart’ button.

Would it be possible to have the category (left) as accordion?

Also, the search frame in the top menu is too small. The icon doesn’t fit into the fram. Is this a bug or do I need to fix this in css?

October 23, 2014 at 9:46 pm #33564

Hi,

1) Unfortunately categories cannot be styled as accordion for the moment. We can add this feature in the upcoming updates though.

2) About the search, can you please attach a screenshot with a brief explanation, as we cannot see any visual problems in your website for the moment.
