Hi, as of recent I noticed that in WIN7/Chrome my site with www prefix is showing the following error:

You see this message because Pavillion is not properly installed.

However just using the https://domain.com works fine.

What is happening?

Yes, but somehow it fixed it self.

Now there is an issue. I noticed that I get an error: ERROR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED

I disabled GZIP compression in opencart settings and it started working ok. But this was never an issue before even with GZIP enabled.

Also chrome doesn’t seem to load all the styles under https:// prefix. The social icons are missing, arrows left and right for the banners are also gone, and some other elements.

The review stars are also missing.

Please check why chrome is unable to display icon images from the stylesheet. Seems like there is some sort of bug while accessing via https://

The problem is that you have a www and a non-www version of your site. When you open the non-www version, the icons show fine.

This also causes a negative effect for search engines, as they register duplicate content. Please, add a redirection to your www version in order to resolve this issue.

I added a rewrite rule for www

Those images are still missing in chrome.

Can’t see any missing icons/images on https://www.vapeloft.com/ with Chrome/Win7. Can you provide a screenshot ?

Hi, customers are still complaining and noticed that at times chrome/safari wont load the site until clearing of browser history and cache.

Chrome displays a message: “Pavillion is not installed properly” – The error goes away after clearing history/cache, however it returns after a few days.

Why is this happening?

Thanks.

Does this error happen per customer (i.e. browser session), or it happens globally (all visitors are affected) ? Do you use gzip compression ?

Can’t really provoke this error, have opened more than 50 pages on http://www.vapeloft.com with Chrome.

It seems that it happens on certain machines. GZIP is enabled at level 3 in the OC settings.

Thanks for the reply.

You don’t need gzip if you enable have mod_deflate enabled on your server, as advised here. Not sure if this causes the issues though.

Will continue to check your site with chrome from time to time, but for now we can’t find any issues that can be checked and fixed.

I disable GZIP, but the problem still persists on a windows machine using Chrome.

A few of our clients are complaining of the same issue, how can we fix this?

Thanks!

Hi,

We’ve been checking your website constantly a couple of days ago till now and never had the chance to get this warning message.

Unfortunately, we cannot debug your issue, if we cannot provoke it. What we can recommend is to watch carefully, if there is some direct connection between some actions you do (e.g. change theme settings) and the described issue, or an exact path that can be followed to provoke it.
