Unfortunately for the moment there is no dedicated option to modify lightbox background. Some custom CSS will do the job though:

.pswp__bg {
  background: red !important;
}

You have theme cache enabled (Theme Settings > System). You can disable it until you setup your store.

Just click on the setting label (the one with the green arrow) to disable inherit mode
