Save settings doesn’t work

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesPavilion OpenCart ThemeSave settings doesn’t work

This topic has been marked as not resolved.

Hi

I just installed the Pavillion theme and everything seams ok. But when I make a change on Pavillion CP and I click on Save Settings button, it seems that all is ok but when I refresh the page (store page), the changes doesn’t appear. Then I go to CP and the option I changed before is gone.

I missed to change something on instalation or opencart configuration?

Thanks

Hi,

We will need the website url, admin and ftp access, so we can check.

You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

Thanks

Hi again!

Sorry for the delayed answer. We tested your installation and it seems that everything is working. We changed some options, saved them and the changes are reflected on the frontend.

Do you have problems with particular setting ?

Hi

I have problems to change Theme Settings. For example, to off the Default Menu Code. When you save the changes and reload the CP, the changes are gone.

Can you try it?

Thanks

We resolved your issue. FYI:

The problems is with a deprecated PHP directive of your server. It is called magic quotes and should be off, which is not the case. OpenCart 1.5.x had fix for this, but the fix is removed in OpenCart 2.0.

We provided a fix to your installation to bypass this. Anyway you should set magic_quotes_gpc to off in your server or write the hosting support to do it.

We saw you tried full data import. It seems you reinstalled the theme thereafter. Should we do a full data import for you ?

Ok, thanks. Can I Uninstall and reinstall the Theme and load the demo store? I want to start working on my site from that.

So I have to ask my server to set off Magix_quotes_gpc anyway?

Thanks

Yes, you can. You can also update your theme with the newest version we release yesterday. It has some nice new feature, like integrated blog/news module.

Let us know if your update/date import went smoothly.

Hello,
I’m experiencing the same issue. I have set magic_quotes to off.
I’m currently on PHP 5.6.4 and only the Widgets info can’t be saved.
Let’s say I enter the Featured Products Widget and select a few products or just change the title. If I click on the Update Button and then re-enter the Widget all settings are lost. The settings are lost even if I click on Save Settings.
My Pavilion version is 1.2.5 and my Opencart version is 2.0.2.0

It’s bizarre that the version of my website that runs locally (localhost) works fine and the the exact same website that runs on my Server has that issue. Any idea what might be triggering this behaviour? I even disabled Modsecurity in case it was related to it, but it definitely must be something else. I look forward to your reply.

Thanks
