Is there a way to hide zero priced products?

Hi Team,

This is probably not a support question, but we can’t find any up-to-date information on this matter. Can you provide any solution for hiding an item with zero price? Previously we asked if you could help us with an extension we bought that hides the price and you can enter custom text. The problem is that when the extension is enabled, the Live Search stops working. You said that you will check it, but you didn’t and we had to remove the module. So now we are asking again:

1) Is there a way to hide the price if it is set to 0.00?

OR

2) Can you take a look at the extension to identify the conflict with the Live Search?

Hi Georgi,

We will add the feature to hide the entire item or only the price if it is 0. Generally we will set this as a global option, but what would you say – is there an use case where a product will need to override the global option and still show if its price is 0?

Hi Team,

It would be great to have a feature like that. Our main idea is the following:

We want the product to be always visible, but if the price is 0.00, we would like it to be hidden or to show some text instead of 0.00. The reason is that we sell expensive software and in some cases it’s better if the price is hidden, so that the customer can contact us for an offer. If we leave it like 0.00 (zero) it doesn’t look good. We managed to achieve that with this extension – https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=marketplace/extension/info&extension_id=2746&filter_search=ask%20for%20price&filter_download_id=47&page=6, but if it’s activated it breaks the functionality of the Live Search module.

Hi Georgi,

We’ve added an option to hide 0 prices or items with 0 price in the upcoming update. However what you describe is a bit more than just hiding the price / item :)

We have a similar extension in development – ask for price. It will add the option to send a price quotation and keep all requests in the database. The admin will be able to contact users and send replies. The extension will be integrating with all BurnEngine themes, but will be premium and not packed for free.

Hi Team,

Thank you for the quick response. Is this upcoming update different from the upcoming fix?

Hi Georgi,

The next update will bring both fixes and some new small feats (incl. hide zero prices).

Hi Team,

Any news on the new update? It’s been a month since you announced it. We saw that there is a new version in Themeforest from 23 June and we installed it, but it wasn’t a new version and it didn’t fix anything.

Hi Georgi,

There are some new bugs we need to fix, that is why we’ve delayed the update. There is no new version, but ThemeForest change the update date even when we change only the theme name (that’s what we’ve done).
