Options Error Message "required" repeats when cat/info column removed

This is regarding the default Shoppica2 template with no changes.

Pressing the add-to-cart button with required options, an error message ‘option name’ (option[‘product_option_id’) “required!” repeats multiple times if you keep pressing the add-to-cart.    This only happens when you remove the information or category column from the product page.   With the information column or category column enabled then it acts normally only displaying the error message once no matter how many times you hit the add-to-cart.

Can you tell me how to not have the error message repeat when the info or category columns are disabled on the product_page?

See problem below with the repeating error_msg “Size Required” after hitting the add-to-cart 4 times (hitting additional times would create additional error messages)
