Hi,
the two images best show the problem.
‘this’ shows your’s and other’s shops view of products tidily in one column,
but
‘not this’ from my SH2 OC1.5.4 spreads the product data all across the page in a mess.
What to do pls?

Right, I found this, buried away in theme docs.
!!! When you add modules to the layout (Bestsellers, Latest, Featured, Specials, etc.) you should not choose ‘Content Left” as their position. Shoppica laoyout is one column only and it uses only the right column position. There is an option in the Shoppica admin – Side Column Position. It controls the position of the column – left or right.
No matter which option you choose, you should always set ‘column right’ when adding modules to a column (you can of course choose ‘content top’ or ‘content bottom’). !!!
What they mean is: set you modules to right column even if you want them on the left column & set the theme’s own control panel to left… grrr

Hi,
This can be a little bit confusing at the beginning, but we think it is better than breaking the layout, when you insert two sidebars at the same time

agreed,
it just would be much better if the documentation was clearer, more complete and this sort of imperative information was better stated.

Thanks for your suggestion for the documentation, mate
