I cannot figure out why for certain products, the Add to Cart button doesn’t show in the Product listing. The product has a non-zero stock.
I only have “Disable Checkout” for products that have “Inquire Sales” status and stock of 0.
In fact, seems like somehow the Out of Stock status setting of products is being used even though there is some stock to order.

Hi,
Can we check your configuration? We will need admin access and the problematic products.
You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

Hi,
Here is how custom statuses work (for the moment):
1) Products with “Disable checkout” status have their cart button hidden no matter of their quantity. The idea with this custom status was to easily
2) Products with zero quantity will have their cart button hidden, if System > Option > Stock Checkout is disabled.
3) Products with zero quantity will have their cart button shown, if System > Option > Stock Checkout is enabled.
4) Products with zero quantity and with “Pre-Order” or “Backorder” statuses will have their cart button shown with a custom text. System > Option > Stock Checkout should be enabled.
In your case, you should change (or disable) the “Disable checkout” status. The products with “Inquire sales” out of stock status will have their cart button hidden, when the quantity becomes 0 anyway.
Hope we have helped.

Yes, thanks. That explains everything. I wish it was documented somewhere too because there are many combinations that are possible interacting between Style options and Opencart options and stock quantity.

Hi Ash,
We’ve tried to document every option from the theme panel, but if you are not very sure about something you can always ask here.
