HI there,

I purchased the shoppica theme yesterday and had my hosting provider upgrade my opencart to the latest version ( as i was running 1.5.1 and to my understanding shoppica 2 does not work with this, is that correct?).

when he upgraded all he got was a blank page, so he then restored my original site from a backup and then decided to be conservative and tried to upgrade it to the minimum Shoppica requirements, but that too produced only a blank page.

I do have other extensions on my site ( other themes and a few more) would this be the problem?

I do not know much about these types of things so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I love this theme and would work well with my stores
Thanks kindly

First select the default theme and upgrade opencart to the minimum opencart version supported by Shoppica. It is 1.5.2.1 for Shoppica 2. Before installing Shoppica, make sure everything works fine with the default theme – check your extensions, check for blank pages etc. Then install Shoppica according to the documentation.

Hello,
I just upgrade my OpenCart to 1.5.4.1 and upgraded my Shoppica 2 to 2.2.0. My store is working with default theme without any problem but my store front is blank when I switch to Shoppica2. I changed the index file and followed all of instructions. I have shoppica2 2.1.2 running well in my main store 1.5.3.1. There are thousands of error messages in error log. Do you know how can I fix this issue? I am planning to upgrade my main store to 1.5.4.1 soon.
Thank you!

Hi!

There are currently no confirmed bugs with upgrading Shoppica and OpenCart to the latest versions. There must be something you are missing when doing the upgrade. You could attach the error log as text file.
