A/B testing capabilities?

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesPavilion OpenCart ThemeA/B testing capabilities?

This topic has been marked as not a support question.

Hi support,

I am trying to setup A/B testing with pavilion. It would be great to have an easy to use editor like in Pavilion to manipulate the 2 different versions.

What I was thinking about:
1. Creating a 2nd dummy store B with the B version of a test.
2. Using the theme settings for A and B for the test.

Problem:
As I need to use the same domain/url for consistency and cookie/session reasons, is there a way to call different theme settings within the controller file? So for example, product.php is called from Store A, is there a way to call the theme settings for store B? Ideally with an URL query string.

So basically I would only need a function, which could choose the different settings for the particular page/controller.php?

Thank you,
axanne

What I mean actually, if bigger customization is needed, I am happy to pay, just let me know, how I could reach you and what the quote would be?

I identified the variables themeData and theme_settings, where the information about the theme configuration per store is saved. And I understood, that Pavilion decided in tb_themes/pavilion/library/CatalogDispatcher according to the store_id, which layout to use.

It works with the main content, if I set the store_id manually, but not with the header and footer.

Can I send you an email with the description of my problem and you could get back with a quote, how much it would cost me to alter Pavilion for my needs?

Hi,

We would love to take the job, but unfortunately we have the free time for the moment. Our “to do” list is fully loaded with finishing the major update at first place.

BR,
ThemeBurn team
