Adding newsletter checkbox to checkout

I have a vQmod that allows all guest account customers to be automatically given an account on my site, but this obviously bypasses the register account tick box for getting the newsletter. Is there a way of adding a checkbox or something similar that can be put into one of the stages of checkout so the customer can get the newsletter?	Klimskady
