When I add to the cart from the category page, it adds the product to the cart, but doesn’t update the shopping cart on the current page, and doesn’t notify the user that the product was added. The exact same problem persists on the products page, i can’t find a pattern as to when it works and when it doesn’t, but it will work sometimes and not others.

I tried the quick fix, but it doesn’t seem to work. Any other ideas how to get this working?

Hi,

just upgrade to the latest Shoppica version – 2.1.2. It should fix your issues.

I’m unable to upgrade due to extensions that I’m using. Is there anyway i can fix this without upgrading? i’m desperate, I’ve tried everything. Is there a certain file from the upgrade that I can grab that will solve the issue?

Figured out what the problem was. My category name had an apostrophe in it and that completely broke anything within that category from adding correctly to the shopping cart. Will work around that restriction as i can understand why that would cause issues.

We have also found the quotations bug. Here is a quick fix, until we release a Shoppica update:
