BUG: Subcategories links to admin

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesBurnEngineBUG: Subcategories links to admin

This topic has been marked as resolved.

It seems like there is a bug with subcategories in the latest version of BurnEngine/Pavilion.

Subcategories displayed on category pages insert an “admin” in the URL (See attached screenshot).

I’ve tested on several different test installations and all have this bug/error!

URL’s to subcategories is OK in the dropdown menu.

I got the same problem, the only temporal solution I found to fix the problem is turning cache off

Hi,

Cleaning theme cache should also fix this problem.

Cleaning theme cache does not fix the problem, only disabling cache I get correct URL’s for categories.

Same for me; Cleaning theme cache does not fix the problem, only disabling cache or log into FTP and delete cache files directly.

And every update of categories corrupt all subcategories all over again.

Hi,

Have you identified which of all theme cache options is causing this problem? Unfortunately, we still cannot confirm this problem locally.

Thanks,

I think i’ve found the problem – It seems to be connected to “Install Demo Data”.
If you select “Install Demo Data” after installing the BurnEngine theme, subcategories fails on the “All Categories” page/template!

Tested on:

BurnEngine version1.1.5
OpenCart version2.3.0.2

themePavilion Default v2.1.5
themePavilion Dark v2.1.5
themePavilion Minimal v2.1.5
themePavilion Stylish v2.1.5

If i install the BurnEngine theme without selecting “Install Demo Data”, subcategories behaves normal.

And i can go to “BurnEngine => Theme => Apply Theme” and no errors in subcategories.
So it seems to be connected to shops who has installed demo data at some point.

Why subcategories keep failing event after you have deleted demo content and categories i can’t figure out!
