cache and site speed

All, we’re nearly ready to go and announce to the world that we’re here (http://fastpartz.com) – but, even with just 1000 SKU on the site, we’re running reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly slow. Can anyone recommend recourse to improve speed; so far I have acctivated the Gzip, both on site and on server, I have resisted the temptation to purchase a cache module – are their recommended ones? (compatible with Shoppica) (We’re migrating to a Dedi-server in time, for SSL – we imagine that is another site speed improvement…)	Phil_L
