Change the 3rd level submenu into 3 columns instead of 1?

Hi there,

I have got a category within a category with again multiple categories listed.
Because of the amount of categories in the the 3rd level, the height of the row gets too long and isn’t userfriendly anymore..

Can I change the 3rd level submenu into 2 or 3 columns instead of 1?
