custom header_bg help

This topic has been marked as resolved.

Hi,

I just changed the header bg image. But I got some issue with the bullet images and cart total numbers. They have a white background that i need to remove or make transparent.

Is this possible to make?

What steps do I need to take?

I have just realized that editing your bullets and sprite is too hard so I have decided to not do this.

Maybe in later updates you will have this modified so it can be easily changed from the control panel.

Have a great day

Hello Andrix,

There are quite a few themes about how to change the header background. Here are two of them:

Hope you find them helpful.

Hi Themeburn team,

I really want a background image to my theme header. I have followed your threads about this but what I achieve is not optimal.

First of all I tried to make a custom bullet of the sprite.png image file. And I made the icons in the right color for my design. Then I removed the white background and made it transparent. As I thought this was the method you described in threads to others. But the css-changes that I made:

#header .s_list_1 li:before {
background: url(../images/custom_image.png) no-repeat center;
}

does not seem to change my icons.

What I now did was to put the background in the sprite.png and did not change any code.
But in some cases the background from the sprite.png icons are not ligning up with the background in the header.

You can see that in the attached images.

I also read your threads about changing the color of the price when hovering and after being hoovered. (catalog/view/theme/shoppica/js/shoppica.js)

But is it not possible to not use a color there? As you can see on my picture. in the first example, when no hover has been made, the price background is transparent, why can’t I set the same rule to the price when hoovered?

I hope you can help me solve this.

Thanks in advance

Hmm #header .s_list_1 li:before is for the arrows in the header menu.

So what I am looking for is the css for the cart and search icons. Thats why I don’t get it to work.
Am I right? :O

But the mouse hover thing is still a mystery.
