I’m using the Extra Product Fields extension that is included in BurnEngine. I’ve setup some fields and default values for those fields.
When adding a product, the extra product fields do show, but are empty. When leaving them empty, the default value is indeed shown on the frontend.
In my case however, it would be more ideal to have the default values shown into the extra product fields when creating a new product, as each product in my shop uses a slightly different text. It would be much more easy to just edit that little bit of text while adding the product as opposed to having to paste the default value every time and editing it afterwards.
I can see this request would not work for everyone, maybe it’s possible to add an option for this?
For now, is there an easy edit to facilitate this? I’ve used the extension Custom Product Tabs PRO before, which does offer this functionality, but it doesn’t seem to work with ThemeBurn/Technopolis.

Thanks for the suggestion! Will try to explain why it has not been added.
If the default value of a custom field is outputted, when editing and saving this product, the value will be saved in the database. This means that each time you do not want to save this value, you will have to empty the field. What we could do is to provide a button or something similar to easily import the default value with one click.

I understand why this isn’t added by default. For most situations the current functionality is working great.
It would be great if a button/importlink could be added below the extra product fields which shows the default value. Would save me tons of work
