Display full text of blog posts on blog page

Hi, I want to display the full-text of blog posts on my blog page. The standard blog templates only show a preview. The theme appears to bypass the wordpress “reading” settings and I can’t seem to find an analogous setting in the theme options. Have I missed something or do I need to edit the blog templates somehow? Thanks	startabiz
