Documentation for layout – products is not correct?

ThemeBurn SupportForumsWordPress ThemesShoppica WordPress ThemeDocumentation for layout – products is not correct?

This topic has been marked as not resolved.

Hi,

I recently purchased shoppica and I have been reading through the documentation and there is a section under theme options where it shows the following:

Layout – Products

  • Products/Category Page Sidebar Layout - set your category page sidebar position (right, left, no-sidebar).
  • Products/Category Page Breadcrumbs - show/hide breadcrumbs on category page.
  • Products/Category Page Title - show/hide the category title.
  • Single Product Sidebar - set your single product sidebar position (right, left, no-sidebar).
  • Single Product Breadcrumbs - show/hide breadcrumbs on single product.
  • Single Product Title - show/hide single product title.
However when I go to my layout section, there is no Products tab.  There is a Store tab but the options under that item is completely different and does not allow me to customize for the single product page.
Am I looking under the wrong area?  Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim,

At the moment from the theme options panel, you can set only the layout for Products root/Category pages. The layout for every single product is controlled from the add/edit product page.

We should admin that we have missed to update the documentation. Will do this with the next update.

Hi,

Right I see thanks.

Is there a quicker way to update each product page? I already have an existing database of over 7000 products and I’ve noticed that none of them have sidebars. It does however work if I go to a specific product and just click on ‘update’ but there’s got to be a quicker way for me to do that for over 7000 products?

Regards,
Tim

Hello,

We will upload a patch without need to update each product page. We will release it in the begining of next week.
