Dont live update pricing if there is no price

We have our site setup to display Call for Pricing if the product has no price, however if we have options added to show the customer what all can come with that product, once they click on an option it auto updates and sets the price back to $0.00, even if the option does not have a price. Is there a way to stop that from happening?	awoodfin
