Hi there,
I have a little problem with Featured Products module not showing products in homepage.
Bestsellers, Latest and Specials are working perfectly.
I did try everything to get this to work but never could. I need your help!

I think I might have found the problem’s source…
Probably, It has to do with a limitation in Open Cart Featured Product Extension.
I’m I right?
I have a multi-store setup with 4 up to 8 Featured Products to every store and I think it gives me no room for anything else. Do you have any suggestions how to get pass this issue?

Hello Jose,
Make sure your “Home” (and all other) layouts are defined for all stores.
Go to Admin > System > Settings > Layouts > Edit a layout and duplicate the Route for every store.

Hi,
It’s not yet working. Something is still missing…
1. I’ve duplicated layouts in System>Design>Layouts with a same route (common/home) for each store.
2. I went to System>Settings>Store>Default Layout> and gave them a different layout to each store.
I’m sorry I feel stupid. Did I miss something?

Hi,
Generally, every product is assigned to a store.
E.g. you have linked Product 1 / 2 / 3 to show only in Store 1. Then you have made them featured and activated the Featured module for all stores (Store 1 / 2 / 3 / N), you will have a working module only in Store 1.
Is this your case? And is there any problem, when using the default theme?

I’m quite sure I have done the described steps.
And yes, that seams to be the case.
When I remove a couple of products from Featured Products from the working module them a a few products turn up.
I didn’t test it with the default theme.
I leave here some details it might be handy…

Hi,
It seems that there is a bug in the OpenCart logic. All featured products are first counted in the order they are in the list and then the system checks, if they need to show in the store.
E.g. you have Store 1 and Store and have this kind of featured products list:
- Product 1 (Store 1)
- Product 2 (Store 1)
- Product 3 (Store 1)
- Product 4 (Store 1)
- Product 5 (Store 2)
- Product 6 (Store 2)
- Product 7 (Store 2)
- Product 8 (Store 2)
You want to show 4 featured products in your Store 2 and logically you set the product limit to 4. However you will have not products shown in your Store 2  You will have to set limit to 8 so you can show something.
