Hi guys…
2 questions here, hope you can help:
(1) First one is a relatively simple query. How do I hide the currency drop-down menu on the homepage? Don’t want to mess any functionality at the back-end, just want to make the currency option invisible
(2) Want to add the “Rupee” symbol next to the prices. However, the rupee symbol is a custom font install in MS Word and other apps. I can’t figure out how to make it display the correct way in the theme.
Thanks, Vick

any help on the above guys? Much appreciated. Thanks, Vick

Hi Vick,
Re hiding currency, if Rupee is your only currency then simply remove the other currencies from the admin system. If you only have one currency, then the currency option will not display.

Thanks Andrew. This solved my immediate problem.
However, when I do get the IP-to-currency mapping going in the back-end, any idea how to make changes to the code to make the currency drop-down disappear?
Thanks again, Vick

Hi Vick, I’m afraid that’s beyond me! Good luck though, I’d be interested to hear how that is achieved.

Hello Vick,
As Andrew said, leaving only one currency removes the dropdown from the site.
We are not sure, what is this IP-to-currency mapping and what is its deal with the dropdown
P.S. Thank you for the help, Andrew!

I have a similar issue. Just installed last version of Shoppica on a fresh install of Opencart 1.5.2.1.
In header currency dropdown there is US Dollar$, UK Pound£, Euro€ with symbols there without any space after the name of the currency. Is it possible to fix this?

@libertad
@madimar
Replace the currency dropdown template located at catalog/view/theme/shoppica/template/module with the one from the attached archive.
