Hi,

I am trying to include a small banner in the footer, in the 4th (last) column, after the Facebook followers. This banner (.gif) is language-dependent (en.gif, ru.gif, fr.gif…). I’ve already located the relevant Shoppica-2 file (catalog\view\theme\shoppica2\template\common\footer.tlp) to make the changes, however despite I have programmed in the past I’ve never done so in PHP therefore I’m completely lost on basic syntax of this language as well as how to handle variables.

I’ve written hereafter in pseudo-language the routine that I’d need. Can anyone spare a couple of minutes to tell me how to write this in PHP?.

if user-choosen-language is English then
show “en.gif”
elseif user-choosen-language is Russian then
show “ru.gif”
else
show “fr.gif”
endif
