layer slider issues

This topic has been marked as not resolved.

Sorry – still having issues with the layer slider – when I changed a slider on the page home got this error in the theme options panel

Warning: unserialize() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/proudpaw/public_html/wp-content/themes/shoppica/library/admin/functions/functions.interface.php on line 751

was sure that is what you fixed previously

I still cannot get it to display in IE9 I get this in the console (it starts to load then disappears)
I have a slider on this page testing it http://www.proudpaws.co.nz/shop/

SCRIPT438: Object doesn’t support property or method ‘layerSlider’
http://www.proudpaws.co.nz, line 190 character 17
CSS3111: @font-face encountered unknown error.
BabelSans.woff
SCRIPT5: Access is denied.

thank you
site access if required

Hi
Thank you for the previous fix.
You are going to be sick of me and this Layer Slider having issues :-)
I wanted to take the slider I made and have it on the page called home, when I try to put a layer slider on this page, I select layer slider and then I get no options under the select slider, the tab is blank.
So wondering whether that had something to do with your edits as I could get the options on any other page, I thought I would try making a new page, but still had the same problem.
Also when I have tried to remove it from the page called shop I have this error.
Warning: unserialize() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/proudpaw/public_html/wp-content/themes/shoppica/woocommerce/shop/wrapper-start.php on line 44

Thank you

Hi I do not have the error now, not sure if you fixed that or …
It is the theme options panel that is giving me a challenge.
Any page that has any products on it incl category pages – I cannot select a slider in the “choose slide” tab as the tab is blank.
I can add the slider to the page through visual composer – but then I don’t have the option to have no padding and get a white gap where I do not want one.
I tried it here http://www.proudpaws.co.nz/feature/
I have attached a screen shot of the issue I am having in the panel

Thank you

Hi it was and then I made some changes to the slider itself in the layer slider editor and after saving them the slider has disappeared off the page called “Home” but is still displaying on the page called “Shop”
It shows in the Theme Options as being on the page “Home” but is not displaying in any browsers.

Hello,

Do you have any idea what change did you make on layerslider? Because there is no error, just blank :)

Hi
I edited the layers but then I am pretty certain it was when I saved a change to the global setting of a different background image, that it went off the page called “home” but was still displaying on the page called “shop”
Wondered whether an issue was being caused by having a slider on more than one page.
So then, I have just duplicated the slider and renamed and now have it displaying on the homepage. I will let you know if I have any more issues, but fingers crossed it behaves itself now :-)

Hi
So 12 hrs later (after some sleep) I check and the slider is gone again on the Home page. :-(

I remove the slider in the theme options panel from the page called “feature” (another test page I had set up and that slider had disappeared as well) and from the page “shop” which a slider had been displaying on.
In the Theme Options Panel both these pages show as having no intro, but on the page “shop” now have this error showing
Warning: unserialize() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/proudpaw/public_html/wp-content/themes/shoppica/woocommerce/shop/wrapper-start.php on line 44

My thinking was I would remove everything and delete all the sliders and start fresh, but I didn’t want to remove the slider from the homepage in the Theme Options Panel in case I get a big fat error displaying on the homepage of the live site.

I then made a new slider called HomeOne (which is the slider I want to use now) and changed the slider for the home page in the Theme Options Panel to this and it was then displayed.
I then made an edit in the global settings of the new slider (changed the background image) the slider was still displaying on the home page but in the Theme options the page “Home” showed as having no intro, tried re-saving the slider homeone to the home page – the panel indicated the options had been updated but on refresh Ctrl+F5 the page “home” in the Options Panel says no intro. As of now the slider is still displaying on the homepage.
I hope this extra detail will help you figure out what weird and weirder things are happening.
Any suggestions?

Thank you

Hi
In the theme options panel the page has the slider assigned to it but no slider displaying.
If I then change the slider for the page and save – the slider then displays for a short while, uncertain how long maybe an hour. Then the next time you check it is not displaying.
I have tested this several times over the last two days while waiting for you to get a chance to take a look at what is happening.

I have also noticed that the site is not behaving as full width – I have full width set in the Theme Options – but it behaves like fixed width, it does not fill the window in a smaller browser as your demo and other Shoppica sites do. The page width is narrower than your demo in my normal browser.
This may be totally unrelated or point to something odd going on with my install.

Thank you
Regards

Hi,

We think we fixed the slider for homepage, can you confirm it is working there too?

Your site is set to full width, this option is not to extend the full site to 100% width, header, content and footer content is still wrapped into the 960px box.

Thank you so much,
Brilliant it is still working fine after 11 hours :-)
May I ask what files you edited, as I am in the middle of migrating to a new host and will need to grab those files again.

Thank you
