Limit amount of sub categories displayed on product template

Hi,

How do I limit the amount of categories displayed ?

For example, my main category has 6 subcategories, but I only want to display the first 5 ?
I’m using the product template to display the subcategories.

I’ve looked into
shoppica/template/module/category.tpl and I assume I need to limit the loop ?

But would this also limit the amount of sub categories displayed in the Top menu ?

Of course, in the top menu I would like to display the full amount… Is this possible at all?

Hi,

The template you want to edit, won’t affect the top categories menu. It is only for the module “Categories”, which could be put either in the side column, in the Content Top (just under the top menu), or in the Content Bottom (just over the Facebook, Twitter etc, widgets) areas.

So is there a method to limit the display of the categories from the Shoppica backend or do I have to put in a limit into the loop ?
