Module won’t display

Hi,

I am trying to get the Brainy Filter module to work on the Pavilion theme. But it is not displaying and I don’t know how to assign it to your layouts.

I have contacted the developer of the Brainy Filter and they said this:

We noticed that your custom theme doesn’t take into account standard Opencart layout system and has it own alternative. Our developer wasn’t able to find where the module could be enabled in order to appear on the website pages.

We would suggest you to ask for support the developers of the theme. I believe they should know how to add an Opencart module onto layouts of their theme. The Brainy Filter extension is installed properly on your site, it also linked to the Category template in your Opencart instance. The theme has it own admin panel where the layouts were supposed to be set. However we didn’t find a way how any of the installed modules in your opencart could be added onto appropriate layout.

After trying again, they said this:

Please be known that we have done one more attempt to enable the filter in your custom theme. We found out that in order to work with the Pavilion theme all the opencart modules should be linked to the TB_Widgets layout instead of actual layout where it should be placed on. However it still doesn’t appear. The module instance was added onto a couple of layouts such as “All Categories” via the Pavilion admin panel. Perhaps this would help you in further investigation.

Can you help me to get this module working?

Thanks

Ian

Hi,

Sorry for the delay. I have followed the tutorial, but I still can’t get the Brainy Filter to show the Opencart “Filter” option.

Every time I create an instance, it creates multiple instances but doesn’t show up on my category page.

This is the page where the Brainy Filter should be showing in Content Top: http://www.store.bnm.org.au/tracts

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

We see that you are using OC 2.0.x. Unfortunately, we haven’t had the chance to test Brainy Filter on this OC version, so we don’t know if it is fully compatible.

Besides this, there is (was) a bug in OC 2.0.x with exporting 3rd party extensions to Page Builder. The issue is fixed with the latest version of Pavilion (02.02.2014). You can also find a quick fix here:

Hope can solve your problem.
