No Home Page (or Category as a Home Page) – Is it possible?

Is it possible not to have a Home Page and instead the shop’s first page to be a Category? To be more exact I want to achieve the following (let’s use http://shoppica2.com as an example): When a user goes to shoppica2.com, the home page to be the same as http://shoppica2.com/desktops. I would also like the little home icon in the menu or the logo to have the same effect. Identically I don’t want the URL to change (so the homepage URL would be http://shoppica2.com and not http://shoppica2.com/desktops). Can I do this by modifying shoppica2 files i.e. catalog\view\theme\shoppica2\template\common\home.tpl or I’ll have to find a way through .htaccess? Cheers	devplus

Hi, The easiest way would be to set up a server redirection (through .htaccess), but this will change the url of the page. You can check this topic on the official OpenCart forums as well.
