No scroll available in cart(sticky header)

This topic has been marked as not resolved.

Hello,

Customers complained that after adding 2 or 3 items(depending on the screen size/resolution)to the cart while accessing it from the sticky header, they are unable to access the order button as no scroll is available in the cart preview and the buttons are outside the visible area.

Accessing the cart from normal menu is fine, even if several items are in the cart,  one can scroll to reach the order button.

Is there a fix for this? Ideally the buttons in the cart preview should be always visible for easy access, regardless of the number of products , perhaps on the side or “sticky” on  the bottom so no scrolling is necessary. If this is not possible, scroll feature should be fixed as some customers will be discouraged and will not go further.

For the moment the sticky header is off and will remain so untill this is solved.

Another question: are you planning a simpler checkout process in a future update?

Thank you!

STICKY HEADER enabled: The no-scroll is one issue, You actually don’t need to add but one items and you lose the CHECKOUT button, totals everything to the right… see image attached.
the CHECKOUT button is barely visible, price, taxes does not show on screen.
Cheers,
Frank

Won’t accept the print screen jpg image?

Hi,

1) There is no “fix” for this problem for the moment. In fact the issue is more of the “incompatible behavior” type. Sticky header is not supposed to have dropdowns taller than the viewport, but there is no reliable way to control this. Navigation menus could be problematic as well.

A possible solution would be to show the cart as a fixed (sticky) sidebar panel as you proposed. Or we can put an inner scroll in the cart menu. We should think about.

2) We have plans to add a checkout builder in the future, but for the moment there are things with greater priority in our “to do” list.
