Not sending emails

My website is not sending emails, when products are being bought, or when users create new accounts, even though i have selected this to happen through the admin page, any idea why this happens?

Any one else having this problem add “SMTP” under mail protocol and under SMTP host “localhost”

Unfortunately, this is not related with Shoppica in any way. We would suggest to post a question in the official opencart forums as well.
