Product layout : design 1-4 question

If I am in product layout there are options:
Page design — layouts—Columns
Design 1
Design 2
Design 3
Design 4

What exactly does page design do? How can we see the different design 1 thru 4 do?
I use design 1 and 3 it throws the description under the image? I don’t understand it.

Hi,

The four designs are as follows:

1) Product title and breadcrumbs outside page content block, product tabs under image.

2) Product title and breadcrumbs outside page content block, product tabs next to image.

1) Product title and breadcrumbs embed in page content block, product tabs under image.

2) Product title and breadcrumbs embed in page content block, product tabs next to image.
