Is there any way we can use shoppica for rentals such as dvd rentals?

What specific requirements does a DVD rental shop should have? Can’t you go with the default OpenCart functionality?

well, there are certain specific requirements such as:
1. Non-recurring joining fee/deposit (multiple plans)
2. Recurring monthly multiple plans
3. Rental booking/queue
4. For membership rentals, absence of product pricing. simply add to cart
5. retail section for members with display of retail pricing
6. account suspension if recurring payment not received

I guess these are the basics…. any suggestions how to tweek shoppica for rental purpose?

Hi,

1) Perhaps this fee can be made as a tax rule

2) You need to use some third party extension here. We thing there was something integrated with Paypal.

3, 4, 5 & 6) We don’t think there is something ready to use here, maybe you will have to use a custom development service here.

Generally, OpenCart is not the best software for all these requirements and may need a lot of custom development.
