Hi,

We’ve tested on register/guest checkout/checkout register and saw no problem, when changing the region/state fields.

Is the problem still valid?

I had to change it back to shoppica1 because it was giving me the region/state issue.
Please check now. the problem is still there

Hi,

You seem to use template for a different version.

Your OpenCart is version 1.5.4.x and you are most probably using Shoppica for OpenCart 1.5.2.x. Try to reupload the correct templates.

The problem was solved. But now I have 2 extra fields on the registration part marked as required (but you can still complete your registration if you dont fill them). This happens when i change the language to Chinese.

Hi,

Which fields are you talking about?

Generally, there are some extra fields that could be controlled from Admin > Sales > Customers > Customer groups.

Hiya, I have this problem and would like some assistance please.

i have 1.5.4.1 (showing at 1.5.4) and shoppica 2.2.0 – all uploaded, error free on October 11.

I have some customers complaing their state section is blank, however I can’t reproduce the error.

I have checked the accout/register file, and it is correct.

Any help available?

Maybe they have disabled their javascript?

Oh! I have hunter’s increase page script which does something to javascript, I think.

Here is a description from a customer
I have tried to order from both my home computer and work computer and still the region/state dropdown box is empty when I try to fill out my details (this is once I have put the puzzle into the cart, then hit checkout, and then try to register as a new user). Because I can’t select a state, I can’t progress my order. I have attached a screen dump to show what happens.

I’ve finally found a hopeful answer on opencart, which i will copy here for reference.

I just ran into the same issue described here and after debugging for a while, I found the solution. It was the issue with jquery min package. Update jquery to 1.7.2 full (http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.7.2.js) and it should work like a charm.

1. Download jquery and place it in catalog/view/javascript/jquery
2. Update the jquery link in your header catalog/view/theme/your_theme_name/template/common/header.tpl
3. Enjoy
