Social Media – facebook/twitter issues

Facebook is looking very strange on my site. It seems that it is not following any css.

I have checked it in all chrome/firefox and IE browsers. I have also checked other sites that have the shoppica theme. They all seem to have the same problem, including the shoppica demo site.

See for yourself: http://www.sarkii.com

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Everyone has this issue, even this site. Is there a fix?

Since it is a universal issue, everyone seems to be experiencing the same thing, then it could be the Facebook App itself. I know we are all pointing to the same App ID. I believe themeburn set up this App. So, can themeburn look into a potential facebook update or some other recent change that could explain this?

Can someone figure this out? I’m going live very soon and I need it looking as cool as it was. A big thanks to whoever can resolve this!!

Guys, and do you gave any issues with Twitter widget? It does not work for me at all – just shows nothing.

Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no way to insert custom styles in the like box, since Facebook disabled their old widget code :(

We will try to minimize the damage with the upcoming update, but there won’t be a Shoppica style likebox anymore.

Best,
ThemeBurn team

That sucks! The facebook style doesn’t look as sexy as shoppica style. Good luck with the update Themeburn, lets hope you can sexy it up again.

By the way…would this code help?

(function(d, s, id) {
var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1″;
fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

Just throwing it out there.

Cheers.
