Top Header Image match with Root Category

Dear Support

Not really sure how to ask this question, so will try to explain this as best as I can.

- Home page has a default header defined.

When customer selects another root category say Apple, then the top header image will change with the apple logo.

Then when they click on another root category say pepsi cola then the top header image will load that root category header image.

This is only applicable to the root category menu defined.

Is that possible to establish via the Shoppica Theme Burn ?

Hi,

You want to apply the custom header for category and subcategories, right? This can be done with layout overrides.

1) Go to Admin > Design > Layouts and create a layout for your top level category.

2) Edit the top level category and every subcategory and set the created layout from the Layout Override dropdown under the Design tab.

3) Use this layout in Page Builder.

Hi thx for the response…

You are right in saying “You want to apply the custom header for category and subcategories, right? ”

But am only going for the category level and not subcategory. So as per your instructions will edit only the top level.

Hi,

That is why you need to create a layout and assign it to all categories. Please check back the steps we’ve provided.
