Undefined variable error

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesShoppica OpenCart ThemeUndefined variable error

This topic has been marked as resolved.

Hi guys, back again..

When clicking the search button I get this:

Notice: Undefined variable: filter_name in /home/rlcom/public_html/shop/catalog/view/theme/shoppica2/template/common/header.tpl on line 64 title=”Search” />

I have uploaded the whole files to the site several times now.

If I set it to have a search box instead I also get an error.

Any light you can shed on this is highly appreciated. It’s happening on this site.

Thankyou

Hi,

At the moment, we see that you have uploaded files from Shoppica for OpenCart 1.5.4.x and your OpenCart version is 1.5.5.x.

Just check your theme package again and use the correct theme version :)

Hi there – I have uploaded the 1.5.5 files up, but I get the same error message when I click on the search box.

Hi,

The problem comes from older templates on a newer OC installation. Please check, if you have replaced all templates.

Thanks for the reply. I have replaced all the files now and the problem seems to be fixed.

However, the search function does not seem to be working in any way at all? Doesn’t seem to pick up any products?

Thanks,

Andy

Hi,

There seem to be more old files, which were not overwritten.

When you use the header search field, you get the old (OpenCart 1.5.4.x) route and no search results.

When you use the detailed search page form, you get the correct route and you have results (check the attached screens).

It would be best for you, if you create a clean installation and then import your products. You will be sure that there are no old files left.

Best,
ThemeBurn team
