URGENT – Safari Mobile View Issues

I’m having very bad issues on my safari mobile browser on iPhone 8.3 and other iPhone versions as well. Images are getting mixed up, the fireslider on the home page is taking forever to load and sometimes doesn’t load at all. Worst of all, for some reason my store logo at the top has been replaced by another random product image from my site. This image had been one of my featured items in the featured items module on my home page, and I even removed the module from the home page to try to rectify the situation, but the wrong image is still stuck at the top of my mobile view, in place of my logo.

Strangely, I am NOT having these mobile issues in Chrome mobile on my iPhone. Only in Safari.

Please look into this?? We’ve always had some loading issues from time to time on Safari for mobile but this logo image issue needs to be fixed ASAP!

Thanks!!

Hi, any leads on this? My website loading on safari mobile is still very volatile. Sometimes it loads ok, but very often it is totally messed up. Can someone please take a look?

Thanks!
Megan

Hi,

We’ve checked your website using the BrowserStack service and found no problems. Unfortunately we haven’t any iOS device so we can test on hand.

Do you have any other leads that could be of any help? How many different devices have you tested with? How often does the problem appear?

We’ve tested on many different devices, both iPhone and iPad – always the same issues with the Safari browser.

The issue is mainly with the product listing pages. The page will load differently each time the pages is refreshed.
- Sometimes several images do not load at all, and others do.
- Sometimes the product images are in the wrong places (a different product is shown for a listing)
- Sometimes the font is wrong and the page is not formatted properly
- Sometimes the products list in tiny thumbnails 3 to a row on vertical mobile view, instead of 1 per row as I’ve set up
- Sometimes it doesn’t load at all / only completely unformatted text loads. The more times you reload the page the greater the chance this will happen.
- Usually it does not load properly the first time

I had my hosting provider look into it and they said it was due to the coding of the site format.

Help??

Hello again,

I’ve tried to have OpenCart look at this, and they say it’s a template issue out of their job duty.
This issue happens EVERY time I open the site in mobile on the Safari browser.

I’ve attached screen shots of multiple times in a row that I opened the site in Safari mobile this evening. None loaded properly. Sometimes the site does not load at all.

I will attach further screen shots in another post.

Further screen shots from the same 3 minute time span this evening attached.

Hi,

We were able to see the problem via safari emulator, but unfortunately cannot use any dev tools to find out the exact cause.

We see now that your whole website is secured. Can you disable SSL for while and check again? There is slight chance that these problems are caused by your certificate.

Hello,
I just wanted to update you – I tried removing the SSL from the whole site and only applying it to the checkout and other login pages. The site seems to be loading on all devices without issues now! Thank you!
Best,
Megan
