Wrong SEO URLs on multilingual site

Hi,

I’m setting up http://www.christiandog.com.

I need it to be both in Spanish and in English, and for SEO reasons, I’m using a multilingual SEO extension. For instance, when the user selects Spanish, the categories should be something like shop/category_in_spanish/product_name_in spanish.

However, when I enable the Shoppica theme, I only get SEO URLs for the categories in the top menu in English (when you browse down to the product level, SEO URLs seem to be working fine).

I’ve checked with the extension developer and it doesn’t seem to be a problem with the extension, since by enabling the default theme, the extension works just fine (you can take a look at http://siriusdev.no-ip.org/ to see how it should work)

It seems that for some reason, when shoppica theme is set on, the generation of the top menu bypass the function the extension developer modified to get multilingual urls (the file /catalog/controller/common/seo_url.php) and so only takes the default one. Maybe the theme uses a custom funtion for menu generation ?

Hello,

I faced to the same problem as Julian. I try to use the Multi Language SEO URLs extension on Opencart 1.5.1.3 and with Shoppica theme. There are two problems. In the top category menu the url does not change when I switch to other langauage. Name of the category changes but the url behind that always remain the english category url. There is same issue with listed sub categories with pictures.

Could you help how to fix this problem?

Can you send us the extension. Also, note that we do not support OpenCart 1.5.1.3 anymore as it is quite old. You are advised to upgrade to a more recent version.

Regards,
ThemeBurn team
