Cache problem: Prices are not shown, even if logged in!

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesKiddos OpenCart ThemeCache problem: Prices are not shown, even if logged in!

This topic has been marked as not resolved.

Hi Support,

we are encountering from time to time some strange problems regarding the cache behaviour.

One of our stores is B2B-related and only shows prices, when a customer is logged in. But sometimes those prices are still not shown, even if the customer is logged in. After we delete the BurnEngine cache, the prices appear as expected.

What could be the problem?

Thanks

Hi,

Is this happening with theme blocks only (latest, featured, best seller etc. products) or with system blocks (category product listing) too?

Maybe you could disable content cache for product theme blocks, if this is the case?

Hi,

it happens with theme blocks as well as system blocks.

For example, on the product page, the system block “add to cart” will be shown, when logged in. However, the system block price will not be shown unless refresh of cache. So something is wrong big times with the cache.

And in the latest version, I cannot find a cache switch specifically for content cache -> system product widgets or something.

Best,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Do you use any other caching extension? Have you tried to disable BE cache options one by one to see which one is causing the problem? Generally, we do not cache system blocks.

I do not have any other caching extension. I disabled all content blocks chaching, but left the general switch on for content caching (http://pasteboard.co/3dOMJpwD5.jpg). The bug was still there.

Only when I completely deactivated the content caching, it worked as normal. The other 2 caching engines (database, general) were switched on!

I am still experiencing the same problem. Did you advance with the caching issue? I generally have the feeling, that caching is a bit buggy and I was wondering, if you actively working on it.

Hi,

It is true that we haven’t touched caching logic for a long time, but there are no general complaints there. There might always be any third party extension incompatibility like in your case.

Please provide your website url, admin and ftp access, so we can check.
