This topic has been marked as not resolved.

Hello,

Since updating to the latest WPEC & also WP I have been having issues with my product images.
1) When trying to edit the featured image (+ add additional images to have a gallery) my media page shows blank most of the time. IE it does not load my image library so I can choose the image/s.
2) I then have been having issues with the product page loading as a blank white page for products that have multiple images (gallery). Which of course means that I can’t edit a product at all.

I have already gone through WPEC and they have informed me that the issue is with my theme, hence me bringing it up here.:

“The gallery images and the featured image issue is caused by the theme you are using. I tested with the default 2012 theme and they work correctly. When trying with shoppica theme and debug enabled i get an internal server error and a few errors from the theme :

Strict Standards: Non-static method Unodor_Router::register_ajax() should not be called statically, assuming $this from incompatible context in /home2/candle18/public_html/candlesrechargecom/blog/wp-content/themes/shoppica/library/UnoSlider/library/Unodor/Application.php on line 48

Strict Standards: Non-static method Unodor_Router::_get_controller() should not be called statically, assuming $this from incompatible context in /home2/candle18/public_html/candlesrechargecom/blog/wp-content/themes/shoppica/library/UnoSlider/library/Unodor/Router.php on line 24

Strict Standards: Declaration of WPBakeryVisualComposer::addShortCode() should be compatible with WPBakeryVisualComposerAbstract::addShortCode($tag, $func) in /home2/candle18/public_html/candlesrechargecom/blog/wp-content/themes/shoppica/library/js_composer/composer/lib/composer.php on line 247

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home2/candle18/public_html/candlesrechargecom/blog/wp-includes/class-wp-image-editor-imagick.php on line 327

For the Fatal error i added a line in your wp-config.php file to increase the php exeution time to 60 to avoid that error but still no go. Problem is with your theme, since it works in the default theme. Contact your theme developers regarding this issue.”

This problem applies to 2 of my sites running shoppica. Details below. Looking forward to you resolving this asap.

Thanks,
Danielle

Hello,

This is may be a problem with the latest WPEC version. Please install older one, until we submit new patch.

Hello,

What number older one do you suggest as I had tried on the USA site to go back in versions but it didn’t seem to make any difference. (And that site is on WP 3.8 now)

When do you think you’ll have the patch ready?

Thanks,
Danielle

Hi,

We dont know how much it will take, but you could send website url, admin and ftp access and we will apply it as soon we find a fix, and you dont have to wait for a patch.

You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

Hello,

Ok. You already have access info for the site. And here is the info for FTP.

I hope that you can fix this soon as it is delaying me launching the new look of my USA site.
I look forward to your update that the patch has been applied and that it is fixed.

Thanks,
Danielle

Hello,

Do you have an update on this & the time that may be left in fixing it?

- Customers can’t order a particular item because for some reason the variation number is not registering on the front end so this is hurting my business :(

Please update me.

Thanks,
Danielle

Also there is text that displays when you add an item to the cart- but it appears behind the products (essentially in the background layer) – how to fix this?

Hello,

We applied the patch we made for your website, but it doesnt fix any of the problems.

We have tested to upload image with default WordPress theme, but we still get the error and image is not uploaded.

Did you installed this site from scratch or copy the com.au one? Because this is happening when paths are not correct on importing database.

Also why you dont switch to Woocommerce plugin, which is times better than WP E-commerce, and not that slow.

Last, where do you host this site, because it is extremely slow hosting?

Hello,

Did the patch work on the .com.au one?

I imported the products to the USA site – but then I did essentially set it up from scratch as it didn’t work. All the images that are in there I manually added so the upload used to work. Just not to upload multiple images.

I specifically chose your theme BECAUSE I could use WPEC. If I wanted Woocommerce I would be using it.

My hosting is Justhost.

Please advise on the .com.au site and the patch as this is the MOST important of the two at the moment.

Thanks,
Danielle

Hello,

We just tested com.au site and everything is working fine with uploader. Also we have tested the problem with Variations, and everything is working fine.

About the USA site, try to reinstall it and add products manually (dont use import).

Thank you for sorting out the AU site :)
So if I update WP I still should not have any issues right?

Ok I will re install the usa site- is there something I need to replace to stop the problem happening on the new install?

Hello,

There shouldn`t be any problems with WP 3.8.

About the USA site, make sure it is new install and you didnt import anything.
