Account, Checkout, Blog, and Same Content Issues

This topic has been marked as resolved.

Clicking the links such as “my account”, “checkout”, “article listings” (blog), and other links on my site would always wound up with the same content. I attached the image below to show the content I would always end up with.

For the links such as “my account”, it should end up on a log in page. Other links should correspond with the correct content.

I have also noticed after clicking on those links, there would be double of the same words. As shown below after “account” there is slash “account”, and “checkout” too.

https://mywebsite.com/account/account
https://mywebsite.com/checkout/checkout

How can I fix the double words and same content problem?
Links should correspond correctly to their own content.
The image attached has been uploaded in the “content area”,
and the categories in “column left area”.
In conclusion, “content area” and “column left area” combined together
equals same content across within all links.

Is it required to install WordPress for a blog?
It seems BurnEngine have it already installed, and when I click on it
would have the same content as other links too.

Hi,

Can we take a look at the live website, so we can check? We may also need admin access to see the configuration.

You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

Please let me know if you need additional information to log in. By the way the image has been removed, and some links now lands on 404 error file not found.

Hi,

Your theme installation has a very strange behavior. It shows everywhere Page Builder content for the home page. We will need to dig a bit deeper into the problem and will need a ftp access.

We see however that your installation is a bit old. Can you please try to update, before we take a further look?

Hi,

For FTP, I have unzipped and updated opencart and burnengine to public_html.
There’s 4 zipped files for older versions and updated versions for OP & BE in home1.
2 unzipped folders in public_html.

I see no change, and “modules” is now not showing up in opencart “extensions” tab.

Does the HTTPS play a role in affecting the site?
How to restore back to normal?
I think htm.access <- however it's spelled have been added too for wordpress,
as I've been told but I do not have wordpress. Been added since there was 404
error issues when links were clicked but now it's fixed.
Please let me know what the problem is.

Access to FTP & site…

Thanks for the help!

Hi,

you had erroneous .htacess file, which was meant for wordpress, not for OpenCart. We replaced it with the OpenCart version and your site seems to work fine now.

Hi,

Thank you for your help.
Everything went back to normal.

But now the website is not accessible.
“The site.com page isn’t working
site.com is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500″.

There were changes made in FTP,
with an additional folder/installation
in public_html. The folder is called “support”.

Please let me know what the issue is and
how to have access to the site again.

Thanks!

It seems the database connection to your server cannot be established. Check your user/password in your config file. Also, please note that these problems are not related to our theme.

Thanks again!

But now there’s another issue and it’s with SSL. The SSL has been installed onto the server.
Previously, it did show the green lock for the checkout by checking the SSL in opencart.

And most of the entire website after modifying with the config.php, had shown the SSL green lock. But after modifying them again it doesn’t show the green lock. Not sure because of cache or some sort.

So I reverted back to normal and only changed one line by adding an “s”.

admin config.php
<?php
// HTTP
define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://site.com/admin/&#039 ;) ;
define('HTTP_CATALOG', 'http://site.com/&#039 ;) ;

// HTTPS
define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://site.com/admin/&#039 ;) ; – added "s" <—–
define('HTTPS_CATALOG', 'http://site.com/&#039 ;) ;

opencart main config.php
<?php
// HTTP
define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://site.com/&#039 ;) ;

// HTTPS
define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://site.com/&#039 ;) ;
define('HTTPS_IMAGE', 'https://site.com/image/&#039 ;) ;

Now all I can see is the green lock disappearing after seeing it for 1 second.
It would now show the gray circle "i" indicating it may not be secure.
SSL is on in opencart too.

How can the entire website get green SSL?
How about the checkout getting only green SSL?

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

can’t really understand how the SSL issues are connected to our theme. Does the default theme work as expected ?

Hi,

Default theme works and the problem has been solved.
It’s the content that was inputted onto the theme.
