Add Custom Static Page and Add it to Main Navigation

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesShoppica 2 OpenCart ThemeAdd Custom Static Page and Add it to Main Navigation

This topic has been marked as resolved.

I can see I can add an Information page through admin, but it only appears in the footer or Information main nav item as a sub menu item. I want to create custom pages and link them to main nav items as well as sub nav items.

Please point me in the right direction?

Cheers

Hey Envatorules,

I’ve figured it out with a bit of research.

Add your pages via Information and include them in the footer. Go back to your site and copy the URL from the link in the footer, then go back and remove the include in footer option.

Now to add it to the menu, edit this file catalog/view/theme/shoppica2/template/tb/menu.tpl as per this page http://support.themeburn.com/topic/modify-main-menu

I needed to add custom links in the menu before the categories and also after and have been able to do so successfully. Now all I have to do is remove the automatically created Information menu and sidebar…

Let me know if you need any help with it!

@nitroit

Glad you’ve managed to find the topic and add the page :)

The only problem with this solution is that the pages show up under Information on the Sitemap page which is technically incorrect and they should really be their own parent.

Is it possible to manually ‘fix’ the sitemap page?
