Add image in the header

Hi, i am trying to add an image in my heade following your post here http://support.themeburn.com/topic/add-pictures-next-to-logo i can get it to work fine but i also have my image as clickable that redirects to a static page, the image works fine but when i go to type something in the search box it redirects me to my static page and wont let me inser text. so i have tried to move the image below my account link etc but now when i click on the home icon this is now redirecting to my static page can you tell me how to do this please. best regards	werepair
