Bug – No region/state on Checkout registration

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesPavilion OpenCart ThemeBug – No region/state on Checkout registration

This topic has been marked as resolved.

Registration works if used via direct registration link on page.

However, via Cart ->Checkout -> New customer/Register : There’s nothing in the region/state list. It seems like it’s not populated properly.

Al though, it does work in IE 11, but no other browser, FF, Opera, Chrome, IE8 and so on.. Could there be an error here somewhere?

(also there’s an extra “;” on entry_zone in the register.tpl file..)

Any hints on how to fix the above problem? I would guess it’s a JSON issue, but have some problems verifying, and to site is nsfw, so heads up.. :)
Reproduce:
cy.smasky.com – just add to cart, go to checkout, click on the left button for Continue and you won’t be able to register since region/state can not be populated.

Hi,

Have you tried if this error is presented when using the default theme?

Edit
We’ve checked with latest versions of FF and Chrome and everything worked fine.

We’re seeing this issue on the checkout page — no “Region/State” dropdown in the customer address; the only selections are “Please Select” or “None.” Would you please take a look? The site is bearmanormedia.com. Thank you!

Hi,

We’ve checked your website and there are region/state records for United States, which work correctly. Are you sure you have records for other countries in Admin > System > Localization > Zones?

I apologize for not being more specific: The region/state dropdown works for addresses in the United States, but not for overseas addresses. Admin>System>Localization>Zones has records for other countries, and the dropdown was working properly until the new theme was installed.

Hi,

We will need the admin and ftp access, so we can check.

You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

Hi,

We’ve checked your admin panel and zones are there indeed. The problem is that they are all disabled and this is the reason not to appear on the frontend.

I see what you mean. We should have double-checked those entries to ensure they were selected. Thank you very much for your help!
