Carousel

This topic has been marked as resolved.

Hi, I bought this theme yesterday and have everything how I want it except for the carousel which just wont work. If I enable the carousel (any position) then my website just hangs and wont load. (If I set the carousel to one layout, then all the other layouts work ok,  just obvoiously without the carousel.)

I’ve seen this work on a few sites so it is probably conflicting with a mod on my site but I cant figure out which.

I am using multistore and the carousel is working on the other sites that dont use this shoppica theme!

Where do I begin to debug this?

Thanks.

Hi,

The best way to detect the collision is to start disabling all your custom modifications. The most common problem is loading duplicate javascripts with different versions.

Hi,

Are there any known conflicts as this is installed on a new multistore set-up with well established sites so I cant just go disabling modules. I have however disabled any modules for the site using this theme and it sticll crashes my website.

Hi, Yes no problem.

If you need ftp please let me know.

Unfortunately I am also getting a LOT of Internal Server Errors and my host says a script on my site is causing the vps to crash and the only new addition to this site recently was shoppica so Im hoping you can sort this as I’m losing a fortune.
Thanks.

Just checked process manager in whm and it appears that whenever I switch the carousel module on for the website with shoppica as its theme it causes a 99% cpu usage and my host said it is spawning multiple processes. This the causes all sorts of issues and internal server error messages but as soon as I disable carousel mod the cpu usage drops to normal.

Hi,

Generally, the Carousel is a default OpenCart module, and we haven’t modified it. We haven’t experience such a problem and the modules shouldn’t raise the CPU usage.

Unfortunately, the access details you have provided do not work (there is also a server password). Could you please check?

Yes I did try deleting th carousel.tpl file but it made no difference. Its definitely since installing shoppica2 as the carousel was fine before and still works on my other multistore sites that dont use this template. It just seems to crash the site when I use it in shoppica.

It also looks like the banner module isn’t working. I just get single images underneath each other with no formatting. Have you had chance to have a look yet as I would like to use some of these features with shoppica.

Hi,

We’ve tried to login with the new credentials, but with no success.

Just to note again that there is a server password that prevent us to go to the admin login page at all.
