Cart on front page not updating / Checkout not localized

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesShoppica 2 OpenCart ThemeCart on front page not updating / Checkout not localized

This topic has been marked as not resolved.

Hi there,

I have upgraded to shoppica 2.1.2 with OC 1.5.3.1 recently.

- Cart menu in header is no longer updating when ‘add to cart’ is clicked on main page (feature products hover.) However, the cart itself is updating. Only the total on the right corner does not update.

- I have followed the instruction for localisation. I have copied the Shoppica2 files in catalog/view/language/english to my language. I have added my translations. But the checkout process is still in English.

With the registration not working either (zone drop down not showing any options) – my shop is useless at the moment. So please, help would be appreciated.

Thx

@FERRAPIE

We will need to take a look at your shop. Will need admin and ftp details as well.

You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

suddenly my website has become unaccessible! have you logged into my admin? Wondering what has happened… :(

Hi Sophie,

We still haven’t logged neither in the admin panel, nor in the ftp you have provided, so we haven’t modified, moved or removed anything from
your website.

Hi Sophie,

We’ve checked now the link for the administration panel of your OpenCart installation. Unfortunately, there seem to be no working OpenCart on this address.

We’ve checked your webserver as well and saw you have put both OpenCart and WordPress in the same root directory. This practice is not recommended at all and can be a cause of errors in both OpenCart and WordPress. We suggest that you install each software in a different folder.

Hi Sophie,

Some of the modification you have made adds a duplicate and old version of jQuery:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.3/jquery.min.js"></script>

This may cause all javascript errors on your website.

Thank you. However, I don’t know what modifications I have made. I have only touched the CSS and added 2 VQmod extensions.

Could you let me know where I can find this line of code? Is it a line that I have to delete?

Thx

Hi,

We found this line, when clicked on our browser “view source” button. We can’t know exactly, where it comes from, but it could be from the “Back to top” link at the bottom.

Spot on. It was indeed an extra line in Scroll to top code.

My shop still have all checkout in English, not translated into French.

Hi,

You haven’t copied the language files correctly (capital S).

catalog/language/english/shoppica2/
catalog/language/english/Shoppica2/

Also, be sure to escape any ' or " in your language files.
