Change directory name…

Hi there, I just purchased Shoppica 2 on Themeforest.

I am wanting to only have the default template/theme directory instead of shoppica2. I have added all the content of the shoppica2 directory into the default one as well as uploaded all the other files and directories (admin, system etc.) as well as the altered index.php file; however the website (store front) is not appearing…

I assume this is because I have changed the directory name from shoppica2 to default – if so, please advise me on how I can do this successfully.

I’m using OC v1.5.3.1 – fresh install.

Hi,

You cannot change the theme folder name. It is not a very good idea to remove the default theme folder either. There are some payment templates there, that are not included in Shoppica.

So you’re telling me there’s absolutely no way I can change the name of the shoppica2 directory?..

I would like to change it to my client’s company’s name – I will leave the default folder as is.

Hello Samuel,

Of course, there is a way to rename the folder. It is a piece of software at the end. Unfortunately this will take a lot of time and changing and is not covered by the free support in any way.
