Hi,

I’m nearing the stages of launching and in the checkout page after loading the most recent update of 4.4.15 and came across this error: SyntaxError: JSON Parse error: Unrecognized token ‘<'.

This happened at stage 5 of the checkout, and has been tested on both registered account and guest account.

Hopefully you can help.

Hi,

Just a few things to add:

- The 4.4.15 update was on the HTML Template add-on and I have contacted them directly to see if there is any issues there

- I did a Firebug test and it came up with the issue: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PUBLIC in /home/domain/public_html/store/vqmod/vqcache/vq2-catalog_model_checkout_order.php on line 740.

- Why would there be an issue in the vqmod cache? And which file roughly should I be looking at to fix it in the first place?

Thanks again for your assistance.

Can you please enable the default opencart theme and test if it produces the same at stage 5 of the checkout ?

Hi,

I enabled the default opencart theme and after initially having an issue with a Mailchimp module (this was fixed one it was disabled), that the same issue was still happening.

So it seems the issue is not caused by Shoppica. It’s rather a third party extension you have installed. Try to disable your vqmods one by one to see which one is causing the problems.
