Hi,

We will need the website url, admin and ftp access, so we can check.

You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

We have seen this problem several times. It seems that this is a misconfigured hosting. The maintenance mode won’t also work. Try to select the default opencart theme (to be sure it’s not a Shoppica issue) and put the site in maintenance mode and open in when loggged as admin – you’ll see the regular ‘site is in maintenance mode’ message. You won’t be able to browse it as administrator, because the frontend cannot determine whether you are logged in as admin or not.

This is the technical explanation of your issue:

When you are logged in the admin area http://www.site.com/admin/ and the script sets a session variable (session cookie), this variable is not accessible when you open the frontend – http://www.site.com

You could write to your hosting administrators about this issue.

Is there a way to change the colors from css ?

Could you tell me what file controls the front end colors so that I can overwrite the color scheme ?

I want to change the main color, intro, background and texture….

Thank you

I contacted my hosting administrators and they say everything is fine on their end ….

So the problem is not with them ….

I cannot select the default theme because all VQmods are for Shoppica and everything will break.

Our website is fully functioning with traffic on it. It will do more harm to deactivate Shoppica at this moment … so please take another look and maybe you can find a solution to it.

It used to work a couple of months ago and I havent made huge changes to the website since ….

We took a look and we found an issue we can’t resolve. It currently breaks the default opencart functionality, which is not related to Shoppica. We are not aware of the changes you made – tracking and fixing custom changes is far beyond the scope of this support.

To be clear – the maintenance mode of your site is not working. Try to put the site in maintenance mode and open in when loggged as admin – you’ll see the regular ‘site is in maintenance mode’ message. You won’t be able to browse it as administrator, because the frontend cannot determine whether you are logged in as admin or not.

This is the main issue, which is not connected to Shoppica. You should resolve it first. You could ask about it in the official opencart forums. Someone could have also encountered it.

If you get the opencart maintenance mode working, your color schemer issues will be also resolved.

Thank you for your time.

I decided to change the platform altogether.

Too many bugs and compatibility issues , its not feasible anymore to continue with OpenCart.

Hi,

I replaced all %main_color% and %secondary_color% with hex values … but when I hover over the menu items they change back to the initial colors ….

Where do I need to modify to keep the hex values I entered after hover?

Thank you.
